Fishing

Fishing Detail
This past weekend there were over 40 anglers on Upper Hamlin Lake fishing in the 3rd annual "Hamlin Hookers"  fishing tourney.  The fishing was on the slow side, but everyone had fun.
Reports are that there is plenty of good ice on Hamlin.  Anglers are riding 4 Wheelers and Snowmobiles all over the lake. Of course caution must be taken when going under bridges, and traveling through the Narrows.
While the fishing has been slow,  anglers are catching medium size Blue Gills and Perch between Wilson Hill Park and Victory Park.
Most of the Crappie are being caught closer to the narrows on the deep water drop off on the north side of Upper Hamlin after dark..
Fisherman are still fishing the east side drop-off on lower Hamlin and there are still several spearing shanties on the North Bayou of lower Hamlin Lake.
